
IPO and Its Functions within the United Nations
The Organization
The International Progressive Organization, or IPO, is a foundation headquartered in Los Angeles, USA. IPO is sponsored by numerous worldwide donors. However, IPO’s primary source of income is generated by revenues from its consulting office in Zurich, Switzerland. This branch of IPO operates as a company and specializes in the development of high-tech products for hardware and software markets.
The Fundamentals
The Foundation’s guiding principal is to enhance the quality of life for all of the world’s inhabitants through universal collaboration and cooperation. IPO is committed to achieving these goals through the only legitimate international broker: the United Nations. IPO strongly identifies itself with the so- cial, human and cultural aims and objectives of the United Nations. IPO seeks to utilize the infra-structure of the United Nations and operate through its global network of offices. IPO will primarily act as a promoter and public relations agency for the United Nations providing support, information and advice to people, communities and governments. This will be done through consultation and close cooperation with the respective UN-officials and IPO’s contacts.
The Activities
Based on a deep understanding of the nature of the United Nations IPO will pursue the immediate needs and long term activities of the UN on international and universal level. IPO will help to resolve any social, economical and political issues trough universal dialog and cultural exchange. The Foundation Center will coordinate and supervise the activities of their consultants in order to give each endeavor global value and meaning.
The Objectives
The main objective of the International Progressive Organization is to promote the worldwide programs and services of the United Nations as well as their sub-organizations. It is the belief of the Foundation that the UN is the only independent and neutral organization that is capable of managing the world’s growing political, social, economic and cultural demands. The Foundation defines itself as a promotional instrument for the United Nations.
The System
The system of the International Progressive Organization is based on the concept that a progressive world can be established through a convergence of politics and high tech. That is, a synergistic effect can be obtained through a symbiosis of progressive-related organizations such as Amnesty International, Greenpeace, WikiLeaks and representatives of science and technology, such as Doctors without Borders and Science for Democratic Action. Research universities and retired CEOs will also contribute to the project.
IPO's activities are divided as follows:
- Its political objective as a non-governmental organization to the United Nations; and,
- Its material standing as a marketer and distributor of high-tech products for science, business and computer recreation industries.
